Just Let Me Say For The Record: We're Giving Love In A Family Dose.
Rainy days make me sleepy. Outside my window, it's lightninging and raining a bit. I don't know why I haven't been blogging....oh, yeah...I haven't had the fucking time. I think I might have a lead on starting my own band. I find out on Thursday. I'm taking that day off work and i'm gonna hang with a new-found musical ally and see what sticks to the pasta. I've been having feelings I should be writing songs so i'm really gonna try and i've got one i've just started. I really hope it works out. Like all my musical endeavors, this one will also be a side-project. I had a full weekend of gigs this past week. Friday was Elwood's. A few friends stopped by and while I was talking to them I felt a panic attack coming on and thankfully it went away quickly. I think i'm pretty sure they are caused by lack of sleep, stress and too much caffeine. The gig went OK and afterward I ended up at the Hurricane to see the Spoonys. I arrived too late and didn't hear/see any music. Saturday, we played the Jetsetter and that's always fun but the crowd usually peters out early so we played to chairs at the end. Mike Jones always makes me a bitchin' egg cream.
Yesterday was Elwood's again and after that I ran to O'Hara's to take part in the Spoony's all-star jam thingy. I played drums and guitar and neither was that painful. Matt and I played simultaneous lead and that was cool. I hung out afterward and chatted with everybody and didn't get home 'til around four. Today was a cleaning day 'cause our bathroom is getting redone this week. I really wish I had something interesting to say other than the facts. I'll have to save that for the next post. Luckily, I don't have any major plans during this coming week...other than having a filling replaced tomorrow and seeing the Spoony's last gig at Cheers on Saturday night. I have no idea why I added these pictures. One of them was taken during my first punk phase when i was around 11. Another one is with Bongo when we were in our twenties. The last one is of one of the bands I played in in San Francisco called Candyass. On the left is East Bay Ray from the Dead Kennedys.
